We did not have activity in June as Mei-Hua went for a trip and I went back to Asia for my family issue. (Praise the Lord her trip was safe and full of blessings!)
In May, we had Christina leading the parents group while I worked as food coordinator for the families and volunteers. Thank you Christina for doing an amazing job. She led the parents to discuss the passage “Fill my heart with joy when their grain and new wine abound.” Psalm 4:7.
While many people think power or money will make them happy, the survey from England found out 4 types of people are happy:
Artist who just completed his/her artwork
Kids who are building sand castle on the beach
Mothers who taking bath to her newborn
Doctors who just saved patient lives by surgeries
They have similarity as they all are serving or creating something meaningful or fun to themselves/others. To the CRC parents, their kids are meaningful to them so I pray to God to give them the strength to raise their kids and support their family. Most importantly, may God give them joy and peace in their minds.
